Client configuration-V2RayN

V2ray has client softwares that support Windows, Android, Mac, and ios. The parameter configuration is similar. This article uses V2RayN as the client application program for windows computers to explain. The settings of mobile phones and Mac computers should also refer to the settings described below.

1. The client software download

The download address of the v2rayN GUI client is:

https://github.com/2dust/v2rayN/releases

Now v2rayN is released with two files: one is v2rayN-Core.zip, the other is v2rayN.zip. Download both files. After decompression, copy and paste the decompressed content of v2rayN.zip into the decompressed content of v2rayN-Core.zip. As shown below:

During the process of pasting into the v2rayN-Core folder, you will be prompted that the target contains more than 10 files with the same name, just select skip.

Please note: This program requires .NET Framework 4.6 or above, if not installed, please download:

2. Basic settings

Start v2rayN.exe, an icon appears in the lower right corner of the screen:

Double-click the v2rayN icon and the interface will pop up:

Click "Servers", click "Add [VMess] Server" in the drop-down menu, and edit in the pop-up interface:

In the above figure, the content in the red box should be replaced by your own, which must be completely consistent with the configuration content on the server side; the blue box should be set according to the above figure. Finally click "OK" to complete this setting.

Next click "Settings" on the main interface:

Change the local listening port "10808" to "1080"; select "Http proxy" to "only open Http proxy and do nothing"; "Turn on Mux multiplexing" can be ticked (Mux function is in a TCP connection distribute data from multiple TCP connections on the Internet. Mux is designed to reduce the TCP handshake delay, not to increase the throughput of the connection. Using Mux to watch videos, download or measure speed usually has the opposite effect. Mux only needs to be enabled on the client. The server will automatically adapt):

Finally click "OK" to complete the parameter setting.

Each option of "Http Proxy" will change the icon of a different color in the lower right corner, and the icon will turn dark blue after the above option:

The update of the client program is as shown in the figure below. Click "Check for Updates" and update "v2rayCore" and "v2rayN" respectively in the drop-down menu:

The Chinese and English switching of the client interface is as shown in the figure below, click "Help", select "Language-[English]" from the drop-down menu, then exit the program, and when the program is started again, it will become an English interface:

Because the parameter setting "Http proxy" option selects "Only open Http proxy and do nothing", there is a display at the bottom of the main interface (You can see from the screenshots above):

Socks5: 127.0.0.1:1080 HTTP: 127.0.0.1:1081

It shows that the local listening port of Socks5 is 1080; the local listening port of HTTP is 1081.

3. Proxy settings for various browsers

Firefox, Google Chrome, and the IE browser can all be set to proxy Internet access.

(1) Firefox

Firefox browser only needs to set the "SOCKS host" line (as shown above); of course, you can also set the above lines, as shown below:

Use the following final-level IP hiding test URL to test whether your actual IP address is hidden.
https://vpn6.cc/ipcheck/

As shown in the figure above, this IP address: "64. ——— "is that of the V2ray proxy, indicating that my real Internet IP has hidden . It displays "Note: You are not using a proxy or are using a highly anonymous proxy", indicating the anonymity degree is level 1.

(2) The proxy server setting of Google Chrome is called the proxy setting of IE:

Please note: the proxy port here needs to be set to "1081". Click "Advanced 高级" in the red box and you will see this:

Use the following final-level IP hiding test URL test and found that my real IP has been hidden:
https://vpn6.cc/ipcheck/

(3) IE browser

The settings of IE browser are the same as Google. After IP hiding test, I found that the real IP has been hidden:
